I partially agree- I tried one a few years ago and it didn't feel like an
R-13. It lacked just about everything I look for- projection, evenness,
focus, darkness, depth... need I add that I was not impressed? Actually I
liked the physical feel and appearance of it.... so if you're looking for
a clarinet for publicity photos I highly recommend it! :-)

Tried one of these (a pair, I should say) in LA chez Gilbert, and was very
impressed. Superior mechanism, great sound, excellent intonation.
I especially liked the clutch on the bridge key mech., and the connecting
arm over the F/C key. My Rossi clarinets have this arm, and I've wondered
for a long time why the French makers don't use it (maybe our Leblanc
connection knows something about this?)

Merry Arundo, and a happy and prosperous Dalbergia to all! :-)
