Chris,

I can't offer any insight on the differences between Chedevilles (assuming
the distinction you made is indeed valid - 'seems Clark Fobes and others
could speak to that with authority).

But yes, the refacer you write of is Dong Jin Kim. He lived on Stonehouse
Lane in Wyncote, PA for a number of years before moving to Korea, I believe
to be with his family there. He did a lot of work for clarinetists here in
the Bay Area. I wish I knew how to contact him in Korea, but alas, I don't.
