I'm sorry if this sounds like another Leblenc ad, but that is the
instrument that I happen to play.

I have very small hands, and I find that I can easily reach the left
hand Ab/Eb key on my Leblanc Opuses, and I use it all the time. After
much practice, I am as comfortable with it as I am with all the other
little finger keys.

My teacher, who has large hands, removed the left hand Ab/Eb key from
his Buffet Prestiges because he just couldn't get used to it after years
of playing without it.

I guess it's just a matter of personal preference.
