I Recently made a day and half journey to Jim Pyne's house (about a 7 hour
drive each way) from Toronto to get a mouthpiece made. Since then I've been
very happy with both sound and pitch, response in the altissimo is very
good, with great ease I can make the e'''' to a''''. I had been using V12
#4s for the past year or so however I've found that this mouthpiece needs a
slightly different shape.

Last month I decided to order a few boxes of Glotin G3 No.4 hardness, and
with a bit of work I have had great success. I've found the cane to be much
more consistent. The only downside is they need a good break in, and in my
case a fair amount of adjustment (for ease of play).

I'd say if you are dissatissfied with V12s give em a shot.
