As far as your theory about the U.S. receiving the "picked-through sh--" from
Vandoren (as one unnamed local clarinetist/craftsman so eloquently put it),
you're absolutely right. Clarinetists right there in France go to the
factory and get all the good cane, and we get the garbage but still pay top
dollar for it. Nice, huh?
