Dave,
Though not a priest(ess), I forgive you for your sins, it's no big deal
amongst friends

I do have a question regarding a funky register key on my Leblanc bass
clarinet. I own a 8 year old model 617 (low C) bass clarinet. SN 14666. I
really love it because it feels just like my other clarinets, given me few
mechanical problems over the years, and I receive many compliments on the
intonation.

Lately, I've been struggling to negotiate the funkiness of the throat B-flat.
Sometimes it's a buzz, and sometimes it sounds airy.
I compensate by using the side key (when technicaly possible). Was
wondering if there is any set screw that I could adjust. I'd even be
willing to send a tape of what the note sounds like. I'm open to
suggestions.

Thanks much!
