In defense of David's remarks on the Leblanc clarinet- I do recall that a few
years ago Leblanc sent out surveys to members of the International Clarinet
Society, inquiring as to preferences of tone, what players are searching for,
or what they were dissatisfied with, etc. Maybe this is the research David
refers to. I know that I recently received a similar questionaire from them,
probably for similar purposes.
