A slight misplacement of the word "nude" in my reference to Natasia Kinsky
and 18 people jumped all over me. Now, even a reference to burning fingers
is coming back to haunt me. I'll recover with the following brilliant
rejoinder:

If you hold a reed between to silver coins and try to burn the tip off,
the coins heat up so quickly that you are likely to burn your fingers
before the edge of the reed burns away. And even after the heat is taken
away from the coins, the temperature continues to rise for a few seconds
before beginning the cool-off process and that's what I meant and that's
what I should have said and now I've said it.

And my only excuse is that I was looking at the add in PLAYBOY opposite
page 30. And no one thus far has commented on the brilliant ad, only
on my statement about the magazine itself.

>From this I have come to the conclusion that all the clarinet players
on this board (except me) don't read high-class literature as do I.
Next week, HUSTLER, for an article on proper oiling techniques for large
bored instruments.
