Cary & All,
If communicating a "list" price is not acceptable, I will be glad
to refrain from doing so. However, at the time I wrote the message, I
felt it was information that was accessible from hundreds of sources
and was only being presented for informational purposes. The statement
concerning the dealer price being much less was unnecessary because it
is common knowledge. I apologize.
As you know, I have never hidden my affiliation with Leblanc, it
would not be honest to do so. Likewise, I would never want to take
advantage of the forum for commercial purposes. That would be unfair
and possibly even unethical. I would like to see my competitors, many
of whom are my friends, at some point, join this forum.

One more quick comment concerning product advertising. It is very
difficult for any company to convey the playing characteristics and
sound of an instrument in a printed ad. What a company attempts to do
is peak your curiosity so you will play the instrument and then make
your decision. (You are right, some of the cliche's all companies use
are a little far fetched and sometimes ambiguous.) Welcome to "sales
and marketing 101!"

Dave Kaminsky, Leblanc
