This is in response to Jim Squires question concerning "C"
clarinets. This is not meant to be a "sales pitch." I only wish to
share information for the good of the group concerning this item. If
anyone feels this is inappropriate, I apologize.
The Noblet 45C is a good "C" Clarinet for the money. The new 1995
LIST price is $1995.00, your actual price from the dealer would be much
less. I checked my most current availability chart (Nov. 8) and it
shows a limited quantity available from the factory. There are Leblanc,
Selmer, and Buffet "C" clarinets, also, all price over $3,000.00. But
the question is "Do you need a "C" Clarinet that costs more than your
Bb or A?"
"C" clarinets are hard to find, new or used. I know of no dealer who
would stock one, new. Check ads in the clarinet magazine and any other
music publication for used instruments. If you can't find one, select
a dealer who will work with you and give you the best price on a new
instrument.
