I am playing a gig now where the principal clarinetist is playing
on a Horwarth clarinet made in England. I was wondering what
other players view on this type of instrument is--obvious insight
comes from those who have played on it. Specifically Roger
Shilock, and others from England will have some insight.

They have repositioned some of the keys, and changed a few things.
The top two trill keys have been switched, so that the second one
now has its tonehole on the "top" close to the throat A and G#.
There is a bridge key adjustment mechanism right across from the
third finger LH. And the two pair of RH pinky keys do not have
a bridge. . .instead the adjustment is off the low F key cup, with
two adjustment screws. The keys are silvered, and the bottom ring
of the bell is silvered as well. The tenon joints are longer, and
a Buffet barrel appears to be "pulled" about 2 mm. Her
intonation seemed to have improved when she just tried her
old Buffet-Moennig barrel. . .is this common.
