Quoting from one of his advertisments (in The Woodwind Catalog):
"NECKS ARE NOT SOLD SEPARATELY FROM COMBINATION SETS*"
Capitals not added by me, and combination sets refering to a Charles
Bay neck, mouthpiece, and ligature.
Continuing the quote:
"*EXCEPTIONS: 1. A professional player using a mouthpiece we respect and
if mouthpiece would not minimize our neck's effectiveness.
2. If the purchaser already has a Charles Bay or Bay bass
clarinet mouthpiece..."
I'd guess Dan fell under the first exception.
