I am not aware of the book mentioned, but would suggest Tom Ridenour's
book on fingerings for the altissimo register. His specific suggestions
for places in the repertoire to use various fingerings is most valuable.

It might be interesting to get players' reactions to using different reeds
to improve the sound in the altissimo. I, for example, find that although
I typically use Grand Concert thick blank 3-1/2 reeds on a Hite D, for
things with a lot of altissimo stuff, Olivieri 3-1/2s speak much easier.
I find them a little "bright" in the second register, however.
