O.K. Something in a lighter vein.

How do I punctuate this:
" dark, German sound"
or,
"dark German sound" ?

Are the terms
"dark", "edgy", "brilliant"
any more (or less) descriptive (ambiguous) than
"German", "French", "English", "American", "Italian" ?

And, why is it that we don't talk about the Canadian, Australian or
Japanese sounds or schools? How about an NYC or LA school?
