Mr. Bogers asked about budget-oriented music software. Most Windows-based
software that accompanies sound boards or multimedia systems has some
rather rudimentary utility for playing MIDI files and peforming some
arranging or transposing on them. Dr. T's Software (124 Crescent Road,
Needham MA 02194, phone 617-455-1454) sells Quick Score Professional
(under $50) This program is very well featured; for my needs, it compares
very favorably with the high-priced composing/arranging software. This
program requires Windows 3.1
