The new Vandoren copy of a Chedeville is a model M13. This was
actually a copy made of D. Montinaro's mouthpiece (from Philly
Orch.).

I tried these mouthpieces on a recommendation from a friend of
mine in Philly, not expecting too much. But, I really like them
The sound is solid and the mouthpiece doesn't play in the cracks
like a lot of mouthpieces do. I found the Nielsen and the
Martiono--Martino, that is, much easier to play. The mouthpiece
is a little more resitstant than the Genussa I was playing on,
but I prefer it. I especially like how weel it plays in the
upper register when in those very soft passages. . .you can just
sneak away into nothing.
