I don't have very much for sextets of clars., horns, and bassoons. I am
not very sure how much there is in this combination, probably no more
than about 50 pieces. But if you can add oboes to your group, there are
several hundred works for that combination. However, an octet with
16 foot bass is really a great pleasure to play with. If you have not
done the octets of Krommer with a 16 foot bass, you are going to have a
wonderful time when you do.
