Greetings friends/ colleagues.

Has anyone out there tried these remarkable new instruments? I started out
to reply to new contributor Nicholas Wiger with advice on buying a used
R-13, tried to figure out where he's writing from (I notice he goes to
Long Beach Poly, which I assume is in LA - it could also be in the SE
Island district of Alaska, but that seems improbable) and was reminded
that last year when passing through LA I visited Robert Gilbert and tried
out the new Howarth clarinets. I thought they were superior instruments- I
highly recommend to anyone in or near LA to dropin and try them. (No I'm
not getting any commission...)

I've noticed a few people from England writing here- any of you tried
them? Are they catching on at all? What about Peter Eaton- I re-read the
article in the Clarinet mag about the gathering of B&H 1010/ PE players
for a recording session, and I used to play 1010's myself. Just curious.
