I've wanted to learn how, since it's used in various ethnic styles which
I play. Robert Dick's book on the flute has the best and most complete
presentation on how to learn to circular breathe, but of course one has
to adapt the instructions to the clarinet's different embrochure. He
says that it takes about a year to learn to do it well (on the
flute...). In my attempts, I find that my cheek muscles are so weak that
I can't begin to do it yet.
