By the way -- Kamillo Lendvay's Respectfully yours, Mr. Goodman (Editio
Musica Budapest) makes a clear distinction between the fluttertongue
and the "glottal trill" (which I'd describe as a gargling sound -- also
can be produced by singing a low pitch and playing at the same time).

I would reccomend the Lendvay piece -- I gave the U.S. premiere about 6
years ago, and still use it from time to time. It is an unaccompanied
piece written for Hungarian Radio's 1988 woodwind competition.
