The answer to your question is yes. Yahama designed an electronic
clarinet that plays with a reed, with buttons for keys. The instrument
is connected to an FM generator that produces any sound you choose.
However, I must say that the purpose for practice is develope technique,
tone, and to work on phrasing, breathing, etc. I think that only the
technique applies to the electronic clarinet. I don't think (I have not
actually played one) that the air pressure and resistance are the same as
on a real instrument.
My solution is, either sound proof a room in your apartment, or go
somewhere else to practice.
