I know you asked about the Navy Band, but I think Larry Combs (Principal
Clarinetist of the Chicago SO) played in the U.S. Military Academy Band.
Just goes to show that your playing career doesn't necessarily have to
stop with performing with an armed forces band (although there is nothing
wrong in doing so--I hear they are *quite* terrific).
