About 4 or so years ago, some lady came into our band one day trying to
get some kids to study with her. She had this clarinet with this snazzy
looking barrel. I flipped through a catalog and saw an Accubore barrel
and concluded that this is the kind that that lady had. What are the
benefits of this model of barrels? I would suspect it would keep the
instrument warm, or be easier to warm. How is it on tuning (the catalog
said it had a set of tuning rings, what are they used for or what are
they)? Does it make you louder at all? The Orchestra director always
tells me to honk my horn. What are some advantages and disadvantages to
this kind of barrel? The price seems very reasonable ($44.00). How do
you find out what size you need?

Regards.
