Your teacher is in a much better position to judge this than anyone else, but
have you considered the possibility of getting your instrument repaired rather
than undergo the cost of replacement. Your description of your instruments
leads me to believe that you have horns which, at one time, were as
professional as anything around. Of course, if the one with the leak is not
repairable, that is another story. But why do you conclude that you need a new
and, as you said, "professional" set of instruments? Other than the leak in
the upper joint, what is not professional about the ones you have now?

(You can, of course, respond in any way you wish. But if you state that they
are "old" and this alone requires them to be replaced, then hang on to your
seat for you are in for a hell of a ride!!!)
