there is an advantage to oiling the bore. my clarinet cracked 3 times last
winter because the bore got so dry. if you live somewhere cold like michigan,
you should do it about once a month, or if the bore doesn't look shiney. as
for the reeds, i use v-12's too and have been having the same problem. have
you tried oliverie's?
