Dear Colleagues:

Thank you for reading my message and the lively response. I apologize
for the delay in answering - I don't get onto the school computer every day.

My paper, insofar as it exists in my head, will address three aspects of
"national schools": equipment (instrument, mouthpiece, reed, etc.),
styling (articulation, interpretations), and tone color. After I sent
the original message, I said "uh-oh" on the way home - I'm very glad that
no one seems to have misinterpreted the message as referring to academic
institutions in various countries!

I'm going to enjoy compiling all your ideas. There might even be enough
to focus my paper on this pile of opinions. Keep those cards and
letters coming!
