Subject: Inputs on Mouthpieces

I have been following with a great deal of interest the recent
discussion on mouthpieces. Before presenting my question to the list, I
should give you some background on myself. I am not a professional
player (not even a rank amateur -- with emphasis on the rank). I am a
professor of operations management (manufacturing) who teaches at
Michigan State University. I am learning the clarinet because it
provides me with another challenge and a source of pleasure. However,
because of certain problems that I have been experiencing in the very
registers, I have been looking closely at mouthpieces. In exploring the
mouthpieces mentioned on this list with my local music store (including
the Eddie Daniels), I have come across the new M13 by Selma (I think).
Has anyone out there had any experience with this mouth piece? If so,
what. Any information would be greatly appreciated. The reason that I
am interested is that the M13 is supposedly specifically designed to
work with the Buffet R13 clarinet.

Hope to hear from you soon.
