I, too, am a recent addition to this bulletin board. I'm a graduate
student (mid-life crisis variety) at George Mason University, and having
fun, but thoroughly exhausted because I work full time too.

My question is this:
I'm writing a term paper on the French, German, etc. "schools" of
clarinet playing. It seems to me that nobody has ever written
extensively on this subject, but just a few lines here and there. Am I
close to being correct, or is there a major reference out there that I've
managed to miss?
Probably those of you in academialand are best equipped to answer this one.

I plan to be asking about further details or comments in the next few
weeks. Please identify yourselves enough so you can be used as a
reference in my paper, if necessary.

Thanks in advance for your help....
