We keep getting closer to actual spelling here- I dug out a program from a
concert in Seattle of the New World Basset Horn Trio to make sure, the
correct version is "Hoeprich". And I agree, he is a wonderful player. I've
never heard him play basset clarinet, only basset horn, but this is the
sort of thing that makes me wish myself back in a big city (or at least
within striking distance...)
