Michael, thanks very much for your kind and thoughtful suggestions. I
am reminded of an occasion many years ago when I attended a summer music
camp. The clarinet instructor was, in addition to a formidable
musician, a very pretty young lady.

Her advice to me then was much like your advice to me now. The
difference was that she emphasized the advice by inviting me to feel the
muscles supporting her diaphragm, which gave to the touch very little
more than iron bands. However, the experience was a most pleasant one,
anyway, and I still treasure it. ;-)
