Welcome to Wind Emsembles! Just like the man said:

"Don't look at the brass, it only encourages them"

Clarinets are great at F, FF for a short period of time, however if you
are competing with brass, percussion, saxophones you can't win. I stopped
playing in wind ensembles because I can't stand the noise.
