In terms of orchestral works with prominent clarinet parts, my favorites
include:

Capriccio espagnole, N. Rimsky-Korsakov
Symphony No. 2 (mvmt. III, namely), Rachmaninoff
Symphony No. 5, Carl Nielson

Of course, there are many more, but these three are among my favorites.
When concertos are concerned, I guess I'll have to add Mozart's clarinet
concerto, the Copland concerto, the Corigliano concerto (!), and the
Nielson concerto. The Corigliano concerto is one of the most amazing
pieces that I have ever heard! Wow!

I consider myself to be a critical listener of music, and I'm still in
the process of developing both my permorance repertoire and my "listening
repertoire." I'm a recent subscriber to the network myself. I'd like to
hear other people's opinions!
