I must say I think Pauline G. has hit the nail on the head. Bass clarinet parts
tend not to be several thousand bars long. However, t-i-m-e is a problem, no
doubt. Reading A parts in the bass clef should (probably) be a skill all
alleged (meaning me, e.g.) bass clar players should have. That reminds me that
nobody bit on the bait I put out a while ago on what parts the Bayreuth bass
clar players
really play from ...
