I'm not sure it's possible to say what the "best" mouthpiece for any
class of players is. However, my experience with the B-45 is that a
small percentage are good and the rest are fair to dismal. With some of my
private students, I've had very good results with Clark Fobes' new
student model. The mouthpieces are much more consistant than big name
models, they are easy to play, and make it much easier to get a clear
sound. They are less than $30.00 also.
