The other movie you list, "A Song Is Born", is a Danny Kaye vehicle that
uses his role as a musicologist to get all the then-current hot groups to
appear and play. Not great drama but at least the musicians are having
fun in the Danny Kaye movie. I just saw the last 30 min last week.
