Yes Jim, I too have had problems with the plating on my R-13. This is my
fourth instrument and the plating came off of the E/B key on the pinky plate
and the pad cover only a month after I got it. I had the good folks at House
of Woodwinds in Oakland replate it for me, but it came off again. I just
leave it e now, it does not seem to hurt anything by not having the plating.
