I agree but hope we all remeber the key words "If YOU feel good . . ."

It is all too easy for an abusive teacher/director to say that if you
dress, groom, etc in a way that makes THEM feel good the YOU will play
better. I'm not a "tails" kind of guy but can't play if I feel my hands
are dirty.
