Dan,

Now that I know who to address all my questions about
Harmoniemusik, may I ask if you can tell me why Elgar entitled much of
his non-standard wind quintets (2 fl, 1 ob, 1 cl, 1 bn) Harmony Music -- or
something like that? And also, why did that composer, who was capable of
writing so beautifully for the clarinet, write such minimal,
uninteresting parts for the instrument in most of those quintets?
