About Vandoren Black Masters... Not to sound unbelievably enthusiastic,
but they are the reeds I've been looking for my entire clarinet playing
life. I find that they produce a really controlled, dark sound. As
an added bonus, they seem to be somewhat more consistent than the
regular Vandoren cut. However, the numbering is not comparable to
regular Vandorens or V12s; the Black Masters are MUCH harder. I couldn't
produce any sound with the first box I ordered.
