Heh, heh, heh. Here comes another clarinettists can of worms...

I would switch reeds first. It is easier to try different reeds on the
same setup than to start trying mouthpieces. I cannot recommend that any
serious classical player use any sort of Rico reeds. IMHO, I have found
them to be unsatisfactory in all respects. I have only had consistent
luck with Vandorens. Hmm. Maybe I should not say consistent, but rather
fairly regular. Vandorens are anything BUT consistent. :-) Sometimes when
the Vandorens are not good, I play Oliveris for a while. They will
produce a somewhat brighter tone, but tend to chirp on my setup.

It should be interesting to watch the fur fly on this topic...
