Wouldn't it be easier to put a mouthpiece on each horn? I've knocked
reeds off just by tuning (well, on a sax I have) -- its a delicate part
of the horn that I try not to touch.

When playing show music, you can have a lot more than 2 horns, and you
just have to deal with cold reeds.
