Subj: Winslow ligature falling apart :-(
Date: Mon, 15 Aug 1994 10:03:41 -0400

During a recent gig, I discovered that the little rubber
grommets on my Winslow ligature were turning to silly putty.
They are no longer resiliant, but are turning to goop,
making them useless.

(I noticed during "Take Back Your Mink"; perhaps it had
something to do with the heat in the pit???)

Has anybody else experienced this? I think I'll send
them back to Winslow and ask for an explanation.

The ligature does come with a little kit that includes
a glass jar with more grommets -- both in the original
material and in some other material that presumably
offers different properties. I'm just not the type to
spend endless hours experimenting with this thing (there
must be hundreds of possible combinations of material
and placement).
