An article appearing in the CLARINET
(July/August, 1991) written by Mr John R. Snyder suggests that the best
method he has found of repairing cracks in clarinets is to use
cyanoacrylate ester adhesive - better known as Super Glue- without
pinning. This method appears to have worked for my clarinet. Mr. Snyder
is a clarinet and sax player and is a professional repairer in Knoxville,
TN.
I wonder if others have any experience with this method?
The title of the article is:
Cracking: Causes, Prevention, and Repair, with an Afterthought on the
Future of Wooden Clarinets.
