Bill Parker in Australia asks about a Feidman book that purported contains
the tunes he played on a trio tour. Bill is interested in the book and asks
about its availability.

Bill, I bought just such a book about 2 years ago and I was sadly disappointed
with it. I am not, of course, certain that we are speaking of the same book
but this one was advertised as the music played by Feidman (and as recorded
by him) so I got it (but do not remember where). The difficulty that I
found that caused me to throw the book out after a few weeks was that it had
nothing at all to do with what Feidman did either with band or on the recording
that I had in mind. It was simply the basic tunes that he played with no
ornaments of any kind written in. Well, I knew and know many of those tunes
and I certainly was not prepared to pay that kind of money to simply have them
notated for me. I wanted to see what Feidman played in some detail.

I am sorry to sound so negative but it was a lousy thing for the publisher to
do; i.e., he tempted me and then showed up with zilch.
