There seems to be a communication problem, Oliver. I was not referring to
WAM writing concerti for instruments he did not like. Instead I was
addressing the efficacy of the argument, "If Mozart had had a ..., he
would have used one." I don't know what he would have done. You don't know
what he would have done. I can make no conclusions on arguments built on
a premise that has no substance. I cannot conclude that he would or would
not have written for an alto sax. Any speculation about what he might have
done if he had had such an instrument is, in my view, a waste of time.

The instrument to which you were referring was the Lyra Organizatta. I know
of no concerto by Mozart for this instrument.
