Just for the record, Roger, I remember hearing Ted Planas some
years ago (during a general messing-round session) get wonderful
altissimo notes on a reed which he was not used to, which I know
was somwhere on the soft side of 1 1/2. High notes really are an
embouchure thing if Ted's opinion was to be trusted!
