There are only two contemporary editions of the Gran Partitta that have
eliminated the 2 centuries of accretion built up since 1784. One is
the edition that I did for the NMA, but that is only available in score form.
While I have parts for my own personal use, they are not generally availabe.

However, Roger Hellyer did do a set of parts for Emerson Editions, and they
are excellent. I warmly recommend them, and they have the added benefit
of having a 3rd and 4th clarinet to be used in place of the two basset
horn parts. But they are not cheap.

Though Roger did not thank me for it in his edition, his removal of
measure 211 in the fifth movement was at my suggestion to him. It's
a long story.

The traditional & highly erroneous edition is available in four sets of
parts that you can buy today, but they are all identical having been copied
from the Breitkopf & Hartel edition of 1875. They are Kalmus, Broude,
Musica Rara, and Breitkopf/Wiesbaden. If you wish to avail yourself of
the tradition edition, buy the Kalmus. It is the cheapest and contains
exactly what the others do.

Good luck and enjoy your performances
