Stan Geidel comments on Mozart's handwriting from the perspective of the
Kegelstatt trio which is not nearly as neat at the GP.
Stan, I have at least a dozen facsimiles of Mozart autographs including
the Jupiter Symphony, all of Don Giovanni, The Magic Flute, the Requiem
fragment, two piano concerti, etc.
The guy was neat, NEAT, N-E-A-T!!! Occasionally there were exceptions.
These include the c minor piano concerto, K. 491, and the Kegelstatt.
Don't know why.
But I know M's handwriting well, and the GP autograph is Mozart's hand
first page to last. And neat!!
