Dan, may you never lose that wicked sense of humor!

Seriously, I'm from a "small town" too, (Visalia, about 45 miles S. of
Fresno), and would like some help finding decent clarinet reeds. Most
of the local bamboo seemingly was grown for elementary school musicians,
and the usable/unusable ratio leaves much to be desired.

Can you, or someone else reading this suggest a couple of reliable
mail-order suppliers, and possibly a brand or two of reed that you like?
Out of state suppliers would be fine.

Additionally, have you had any success trimming, shaving, or sanding
reeds? If so, I could certainly use some pointers.

P.S. You will notice that the County Office disclaimer is still very
much in place. Do you suppose we could kid them out of it in some way?
