Thanks to everyone who responded to lmy question about this instrument.
It is made of wood and appears to have tone holes in the bell. It is larger tha
n
a clarinet but definitely of the fai family. My father-in-law tried
to describe the sound that he remembers from childhood, and it is the sound
of a contra-bass clarinet that he imitates.
I hadn't thought about selling it, but would consider it. I would like to fix
it and use it. Perhaps the way I use the contemporary acoustic cl in an
electric environment.
Who IS being used to do repair work on your horns?
